Pupil Premium Statement

The Pupil Premium is an amount of money the government allocates to each school, to support all pupils to reach their potential. It is particularly aimed at pupils coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, who may also be in receipt of free school meals or in care but it's use may benefit all children in school. There is also funding given to children belonging to service families, known as Service Premium.

The funding is added to the planned expenditure already in place to meet the needs of identified children in school, in order for them to make good to outstanding progress in their learning.

Funding for 2022 to 2023

From April 2022, schools will receive the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years:

  • £1,385 for primary-aged pupils
